Do you have a horoscope to make a killing in the stock market? Don’t invest a dime if you haven’t! Part-IV

admin January 6th, 2012

In our previous Blog we discussed the share trading prospects for Cancer, Leo and Virgo. We shall examine Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius in the present one.

Libra

The second, fifth and the eleventh houses are owned by Mars, Saturn and Sun in that order. At the outset it must be understood that despite owning the second and seventh houses, Mars does not become a Marak or a killer planet.

Saturn becomes a Yog Karak by virtue of owner ship of the fourth and fifth houses and can singlehandedly bless one with stupendous wealth if placed in Lagna( ascendant). This Yoga gets an added luster if Moon is placed in the tenth house.

Sun, Saturn, Mercury and Mars together make one very fortunate. It is taken for granted that none of the planets is within 12 degrees of Sun and therefore combust. Same results will obtain to a slightly lesser extent if Mercury is removed from this equation.

Libra is a very fortunate Lagna to have as Saturn becomes a Yog Karak and Mars loses his capacity to cause injury or other harm. Along with Cancer it is the ascendant in which most of the wealthy men are born.

Scorpio

Jupiter becomes the owner of the second and twelfth houses. Both pertain to wealth. Jupiter himself is a Karak (significator) of wealth and makes speculation promising. The eleventh house is owned by Mercury. Should Jupiter and Mercury be together they make an especially fruitful financial prosperity Yog.

Jupiter and Mercury in the fifth house and Moon in the eleventh house make a person very wealthy. Speculation is always successful. Such a person will win in Vegas as well as the Wall Street.

Sagittarius

Saturn owns the second, Mars the fifth and Venus the eleventh house. Should Saturn be placed in eleventh house he gives excellent results pertaining to finances. This is despite his Mool Trikon (favored sign) sign falling in the third. It must be noted that this is an exception for Sagittarius ascendant. For other signs, third lord in the eleventh is an unwelcome event.

Sun and Venus in ninth in Leo and Saturn in the third give fortune as well as wealth in Dasha Bhukti of Saturn. This happens as Venus who is the lord of the eleventh house gets the good fortune generated by a strong ninth lord Sun. The only condition is that Sun and Venus should be more than twelve degrees apart.

In the next Blog the last three ascendants.

Do you have a horoscope to make a killing in the stock market? Don’t invest a dime if you haven’t! Part-II

admin December 30th, 2011

Continuation of the previous Blog. . . .

In the previous Blog we examined three factors that allow successful trading in the share market. Let us now examine each ascendant and find out how they perform. We shall analyze the first three signs in this Blog.

Aries

For Aries ascendant, Venus becomes the lord of the second house, Sun rules over the fifth and Saturn over the eleventh house. Sun is the enemy of both Venus and Saturn.
Venus as the seventh lord suffers from Kendra Adhipatya Dosh (blemish by virtue of a cadent house lordship). If Sun and Venus combine in Kendra or Trikon houses there will be financially good results provided Jupiter does not aspect this union. If that happens, the Vipreet Raj Yog formed by Venus and Sun will collapse. In this scenario Venus Dasha will give negative results but Sun Maha Dasha will be beneficial. This would be so as Sun and Jupiter are friends and owners of the angular houses.
Sun and Saturn are mutual enemies so their conjunction is not desirable at all. Venus placed in the eleventh along with Saturn will give wealth, but for share market success we would then need Sun in the fifth house. That will open another can of worms. Success is possible but one needs a very specific horoscope.

Taurus

Here one planet Mercury owns both the second and fifth houses. Jupiter the significator of wealth also becomes the lord of the house of gains. Jupiter and Mercury together will give great success in share market. Their conjunction in the second, fifth or the eleventh house is highly desirable. The caveat here is that Mars should not be aspecting the Mercury-Jupiter combination. Jupiter is also the eighth lord and twelfth lord March’s aspect will destroy the Dhan Yog (wealth Yog).
Should Mercury and Venus be conjunct in ascendant and Jupiter occupies the seventh house, the Maha Dasha of Mercury will be hugely beneficial.

Gemini

Moon, Venus and Mars become the lords of the second, fifth and eleventh houses. If by any chance these three congregate in the second house, they give very gratifying results. The only caveat here is that Moon should not be near Sun; that makes her weak and detracts from the complete fulfillment of the promise of the Yog. It is desirable that Saturn too does not aspect the Yog.The added advantage of this Yog is that the presence of Moon and Venus in the second house make one very attractive especially so if the horoscope belongs to a male.

Do you have a horoscope to make a killing in the stock market? Don’t invest a dime if you haven’t! Part-I

admin December 23rd, 2011

We all have looked wistfully at people who have made a killing at the stock market. We envy them and wish that we could be like that too. Some of us follow their foot steps and invest our hard earned money. Very few succeed. Most of us slowly lose the capital we started out with. Why does this happen? What is the basis of gains and losses at stock market and speculation? In the following paragraphs we shall take a detailed look. Stock market and speculation are linked to good fortune, financial gains and savings. If one out of these three is missing the process fails. In a horoscope, the second house rules over wealth, the fifth over speculation and the eleventh over financial gains. All these three houses along with their planet lords should be strong. If those conditions are fulfilled there will be abundant and repeated gains from speculations of all kinds.

The fifth house has domain over speculation and children as also the good Karma brought forward from past lives. A strong fifth lord, not blemished by aspect or association from malefics gives success in speculatory activities. If there is a relationship with the eleventh lord of gains, it indicates that speculation will be the source of gains. If the second lord is also involved, it implies that the wealth created through speculation will be reinvested to generate more wealth. This upward spiral is what really successful investors like Warren Buffet have in their horoscopes. They have the same skills that most well trained stock brokers have but what separates them from the rest is their instinct about the market.

There are a few ascendants that have the same planet as the lord of the second and the fifth house. For example for Taurus ascendant, Mercury becomes the lord of the second as well as the fifth house. If Mercury is strong and unblemished by malefic planets like Mars, Saturn and Rahu, Taurus born will be quite successful in the stock market. If eleventh lord Jupiter is also favorably placed, their success is certain.

The other ascendant which has the same second and fifth lord is Scorpio. In this case Jupiter becomes the lord of the second and fifth houses. A strong Jupiter will give excellent results pertaining to wealth and speculation. This especially so as Jupiter is also the Karak or significator of wealth. If Jupiter and Mercury are involved in a Yoga by association or exchange a great deal of wealth is generated. If Jupiter and Mercury are placed in the fifth and Moon goes to the eleventh house, this becomes an excellent combination for wealth and good fortune. This transpires as Moon rules over the eleventh house and her placement in the eleventh house of gain establishes a link between gains and good fortune. Moon-Jupiter opposition creates Gaj Kesri Yog and Mercury opposite Moon creates an Adhi Yog.

Eleventh lord Mercury in this case rules over the eighth house also. This should not create any misunderstanding as the Mool Trikon (main and coveted) sign of Mercury falls in the eleventh house.

Using the basic principals involved in wealth through speculation, we are now in a position to analyze all ascendant from Aries to Pisces. In the next Blog we shall endeavor to do so.

Infidelity and extra marital sex – the Vedic astrology view Part II

admin December 8th, 2011

Continuation of the previous Blog . . .

Second, fourth, seventh and tenth house lords

The lords of these houses play a pivotal role in determining whether one is a loyal partner or not.

Ramanujcharya, the celebrated author of ‘Bhavarth Ratnakar’ opines that presence of Mercury in the seventh house causes desire to have sex outside marriage. Same is true for Mars and Sun. He further says that the lords of the second, seventh and tenth houses in the fourth give extra marital sex. Why should it be so?

The fourth house represents the general population or people at large. The tenth house is the seventh from the fourth and so represents the sex organs of the masses. Seventh house is also the house of one’s own sex organs. The second house is the eleventh from fourth and so represents the arms or deliberate action of an individual. The convergence of all these influences gives a desire to unite with the opposite sex from the masses.

‘Sarvarth Chintamani’ another celebrated classic authored by Vyankatesh Sharma goes one step further and says that if even one of the lords of the second, seventh or tenth is in the fourth, it causes extra marital sex.

It says that the lords of Lagna second and sixth house if connected to malefics give sex outside marriage. Same thing happens if Saturn is placed in the seventh with the seventh lord.

Weak Moon in the seventh house with a malefic and the seventh lord in Lagna with a malefic also give infidelity.

Some other combinations from Sarvarth Chintamani

The lords of the twelfth and second house in the third gives many women. The effect increases if Jupiter or the ninth lord aspect the third house.

The Yoga formed by the lords of the seventh and eleventh wither together or opposite to each other gives many relationships.

Role of Nakshatras

Nakshatra(constellations) are the templates of our lives and generally indicate the characteristics of a person accurately. Of the 27 Nakshatras that Vedic astrology considers, Ashlesha, Shravan and Shatabhishaj Nakshatra are more prone to sex outside marriage.

It is important that these points be examined holistically and not piecemeal. It will be cruel to look at a horoscope and give a judgment about one’s fidelity based on one occurrence alone. Human relations are fragile, and great care must be taken when reading a horoscope.

Infidelity and extra marital sex – the Vedic astrology view. Part I

admin December 2nd, 2011

Infidelity or cheating on a partner is a sad part of many relationships. Nevertheless it exists and happens due to diverse reasons. Most people who cheat think that s/he can get better sex outside a relationship and not get caught while doing it. They also believe that there are no consequences to it.

One of the many reasons for cheating is the suffering of one partner from an illness that saps the sexual desire. Other reasons include impotency, inability to consummate the union and psychological causes. Plain philandering perhaps will remain an ever present reason for infidelity.

What ever the reasons, Vedic astrology looks at this problem in a different way. Male and female fidelity has some common reasons but both have individual causes too. We shall examine these in detail.

Common causes – Role of Lagna or birth ascendant

Some ascendants are more inclined towards sex than others. The seventh house in a chart represents the male female union. The twelfth indicates the pleasures of the bed. Together they shed a lot of light on the sexual proclivity of a person.

Venus makes a person attractive to the opposite sex, and is the complete representative of sexual desire and happiness in sexual union. If Venus becomes the lord of the seventh and twelfth houses, a person will be extremely interested in sex. Should Venus be exalted, she will increase this desire even further.

For Scorpio ascendant, Venus becomes the lord of the seventh and twelfth houses. If she is placed in Pisces in the fifth house, she will increase the desire to have sex tremendously. Fifth house represents the romantic partner. Tender romantic feelings also come under the domain of this house. Exalted Venus here will give a boost to both. From here Venus aspects the eleventh house of acquisition and gains. It will therefore be very easy for a male or female find sex partners easily. As a matter of fact such people take only a few minutes to find a partner in any social setting. The term sex addict was perhaps coined to depict such persons. Similar results will obtain if Venus goes to Libra in the twelfth house.

For Taurus ascendant, Mars becomes the lord of the seventh and twelfth houses and placement of Mars in the twelfth house in Aries will give similar albeit less potent results.

For Aries ascendant, placement of seventh lord Venus in the twelfth house gives quite similar results as here too the lord of the relationships becomes exalted in the house of sexual gratification. In general the exaltation of the seventh lord guarantees ease of finding sex partners. It is however essential that he is not associated or aspected by Sun, Saturn or Rahu, the separative trio of our planetary system.

Exchange of the lords of the seventh and twelfth houses

As mentioned above, both these houses are intimately connected to sex. If the seventh lord is placed in the twelfth and the twelfth lord in seventh, it creates a powerful Yog for sex gratification by any means. Should this happen, the seventh lord will be in the sixth house from itself while the twelfth lord will occupy the eighth house. Both are in effect bad places for the two lords.

In fact simple placement of the seventh lord in the twelfth house can make a person exceptionally sex hungry. Indeed the author of celebrated classic Dev Keralam writes, “If the seventh lord occupies the twelfth house the native is sex ridden. He has no regard for the time of the day(or place).”

Mars symbolizes the male energy while the female energy is represented by Venus. If Mars and Venus are placed together in a horoscope, they usually indicate an enhanced sex drive.

If Mars is linked to Venus and the seventh house lord the person is oversexed and will not hesitate to venture outside the boundary of a relationship.

To be continued . . . .

How is Saturn’s transit through Libra for you? Pisces

admin November 23rd, 2011

General

The accepted practice while delineating the effects of planetary transits is to consider these from the birth Moon. It is true for Saturn as well. I am however giving the results of the combined transit of Jupiter and Saturn from the birth ascendant also, and this needs some clarification.

The transit of Saturn in Libra and Jupiter in Aries is a rare event that happens only once in 360 years. The last time it happened was when the British were setting up shop in India. In 1650 Gabriel Boughton an employee of the East India Company obtained a license for trade in Bengal. An English factory was set up in 1651 at Hugli. We all know what happened after that.
Jupiter opposite exalted Saturn is always a momentous event because Jupiter who represents the divine law gets in a sign exactly opposite to Saturn who delivers justice. Since Saturn is transiting the sign of scales and is exalted, the justice is fair, just and complete. It is for this reason that I am giving the transit effects of these two planets both from the ascendant as well as the Moon sign or Rashi.

Pisces ascendant

Saturn passes through the eighth house which rules over adventures, foreign travels, sea, scrotum, destruction and longevity. Losses, accidents, suicide, death, drowning, legacy, wills, insurance policy, money of spouse or business partner are also judged from this house.
Jupiter transits through Aries in the second house which represents means of sustenance, food, nourishment, mouth and face. It stands for accumulated wealth, extent of academic career, family, ruling powers, second marriage, and power of speech. Death of spouse or business partner and lawsuits, are all connected to the second house.

The combined energies of Jupiter and Saturn affect both these houses and make them pliant for a change. Depending upon the Yoga and planetary periods running in the birth chart one or more areas of life represented by the second and eighth house will undergo change. The rulership and inherent strength of Jupiter and Saturn in the birth chart will also have a significant effect on the results.

Finances, wealth and family life are the three key areas which get affected by this dual transit.

Pisces Rashi or Moon in Pisces

Saturn’s transit through the eighth house from Moon causes losses and sorrow. One meets disappointments. Infamy and fear of law hovers in the background. Separation from progeny takes place. Life partner’s health causes concern and possibility of bereavement exists. Bad company and gambling tendency cause many problems. Saturn is however passing through his sign of exaltation and will be less harmful than in other cases. The worrying thing is that his feet are deemed to be of iron and that causes domestic troubles and unhappiness, professional losses, unsound health and strained relations with relatives.

Jupiter’s presence in the second house until mid May 2012 acts as a shield against Saturn. After that Jupiter moves to the third house and the protection disappears.

Chanting of Shani Mantra ‘OM PRAM PREEM PROM SAHA SHANIASHCHARAYE NAMAHA’ will prove beneficial. Maha Mritunjaya Mantra is also very effective. Donation of Urad Dal (Black lentils), iron implements, utensils, Black colored clothes to less privileged persons is also an effective way.

It is for this reason that I am giving the transit effects of these two planets both from the ascendant as well as the Moon sign or Rashi.

Aquarius ascendant

For Aquarius, Saturn becomes the ascendant lord and his exaltation in Libra in the ninth house of good fortune indicates a very favorable transit. The next 30 months will prove good for health, happiness and finances.

Jupiter is now transiting the third house from ascendant and directly aspects Saturn. The third and ninth houses thus become imbued with the combined energies of Jupiter and Saturn.

The third house rules over the right ear, shoulders, the respiratory canal, younger brothers, courage, and the deliberate self of humans. Short journeys, arms, friends, air travel, longevity and courage are also denoted by it. Nervous system and restlessness too are studied from this house.

The ninth house has control over luck in general, divine help, sudden events of good or bad nature, religion, spirituality, higher knowledge and father. Intellect, wisdom, fortune, philosophy, pilgrimage to holy places, and devotion to Guru are all seen from the ninth house.

The combined energies of two massive slow moving planets are set to bring changes to all areas of life mentioned above. There will be short and long air journeys. A pilgrimage is very likely. Your leadership qualities will come to the fore and decisive actions will mark the life style of Aquarius born individuals. Your father may play a helpful role in the coming months. Health remains good.

The third aspect of Saturn and the ninth of Jupiter fall on Sagittarius which occupies the eleventh house of acquisition and finances. Money supply is set to improve for sure. If the planetary period in the chart is favorable, this could bring a radical change in your finances.

Aquarius Rashi or Moon in Capricorn

Saturn comes out of the eighth house and moves into the ninth. The problems dogging your feet in the past thirty months will now disappear. Finances that had seen a steady attrition will now become much stronger. Health will improve as well.

Saturn has silver feet during his transit through the ninth house. Gains of/from real estate, smooth relations with extended family and gains from government are very likely.

Capricorn ascendant

Saturn transits the tenth house occupied by Libra. This is the sign of exaltation for Saturn and his effects here are generally beneficial. Saturn becomes the ascendant lord for Capricorn ascendant and his exaltation in the tenth house gives a huge push to the Capricorn born. The second house of wealth is also ruled by Saturn and gets a boost. Finances will remain buoyant.
Jupiter is transiting the fourth house in Aries. The Jupiter-Saturn opposition in the fourth-tenth house axis charges both these house with energy and they become set for a change.

Fourth house represents mother, mind, property and real estate. Vehicles, comforts and progress are also represented by this house. Lungs, chest, and blood of an individual fall under its domain. Secret life, secret affairs and false allegation are also judged from the fourth house.

The tenth house represents government, kingdom, ruling powers, good and bad deeds, height, profession position and status. Dignity, reputation, popularity, fame, ambition, promotion, employer and superiors are also judged from this house.

Some changes connected to residence and profession are likely. These can be good or bad depending upon the planetary period running in the horoscope.

Capricorn Rashi or Moon in Capricorn

Saturn has the feet of copper during this transit. Receipt of happy news, success in all spheres, gains from government, and financial prosperity are likely. However Saturn brings about professional obstacles. Increased expenditure and separation from the comforts of home and hearth are indicated during this transit.

It is for this reason that I am giving the transit effects of these two planets both from the ascendant as well as the Moon sign or Rashi.

Sagittarius ascendant

Jupiter transits Aries which falls in the fifth house while Saturn passes through Libra in the eleventh. The combined energies of these two planets excite the fifth and eleventh houses and make them pliant for a change. Fifth house represents the power to advise, the emotional nature, the lady love, amusements cinema, theater, circus and carnival, casinos etc. Lottery, luck, pregnancies, casinos, horse racing and stock exchanges also fall in the domain of the fifth house.

The eleventh house is the significator for gains, left ear, injury, the lower portion of legs and elder brother or sister. Friends, fulfillment of wishes, election, victory in litigation and speculation, pleasure, prosperity, easy gains, dawn of fortune and love affairs are some other traits of eleventh house.

A romance is likely as emotions are highly active. Gain of money and comforts are also likely. If the horoscope shows a strong fifth house and fifth lord, windfall profits may accrue.

The colossal energies of the two massive planets tend to bring about changes in all these areas of life. The extent of changes will depend a great deal on the planetary period operating during this transit.

There is something unique happening to Sagittarius in the ascendant. Jupiter’s ninth and Saturn’s third aspect fall on it. This sign is thus lit up by the combined Jupiter-Saturn energies. Since Saturn is the ascendant, the changes will be personal in nature and deep seated.

Sagittarius Rashi – Moon in Sagittarius

Saturn passes through the eleventh house, which is perhaps the best house for Saturn to transit. Fame, prosperity and gain of wealth take place. One enjoys increase in comforts and growth in profession. For men gain of and through women accrue in plenty. One makes great profits dealing in steel, machinery, cement, coal, and real estate. Those seeking matrimony find success. Overall an excellent transit.

Since Saturn is transiting the sign of scales and is exalted, the justice is fair, just and complete. It is for this reason that I am giving the transit effects of these two planets both from the ascendant as well as the Moon sign or Rashi.

Scorpio ascendant

Saturn transits Libra which falls in the twelfth house for Scorpio ascendant. Twelfth house rules over feet, expenditure, wastage, over use, loss, separation, luxuries and in particular, sexual enjoyment. It represents sleep, bed; left eye and settlement abroad. Libra is the sign of exaltation for Saturn and his results in this sign are mostly benign.

From here Saturn aspects the sixth house which signifies loans, litigation, disease, enemies and scarcity. Saturn is a planet of separation and separates a person from all that a house stands for. The results of this transit will be mixed. The aspect on the sixth house removes poverty and scarcity and gives a healthy period free from all worries. His transit through the twelfth house causes some problems to feet and the left eye.

Jupiter transits Aries, which falls in the sixth house from ascendant and aspects the sixth and the twelfth houses. Jupiter’s transit through the sixth house is unfavorable and causes lean finances, and strained relations with children, Stomach related discomfort is very likely. His aspect on the twelfth is not encouraging either and cause financial losses and reduced happiness in life.

The combined results of Jupiter and Saturn transit are not good. A foreign journey is likely but it may not bring expected results. Same is true for migration to another place.

Scorpio Rashi – Moon in Scorpio

Saturn transits the twelfth from Moon and causes wastage of money, sorrow, ill health, financial crisis, misfortune, and long journeys which prove fruitless.

Saturn has feet of iron and brings about domestic unhappiness, losses in business and profession accrue. One experiences unsound health and strained relations with relatives. Opponents and enemies create troubles.
